Motor neuron diseases, commonly known as “gradual freezing”, refers to the gradual degeneration of motor neurons that cause muscle atrophy and weakness throughout the body. It can be divided into muscular atrophic spinal cord according to the degeneration site and the age at which it occurs. Sclerosis, primary lateral sclerosis, spinal muscular atrophy, progressive muscular dystrophy, and Kennedy’s disease. Among them, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is the most common motor neuron disease in adults.
Association purpose:
Improve patients’ medical care, quality of life, and life dignity.
Promote mutual support and encouragement between patients and their families, and strive for reasonable rights and interests.
Improve the public’s understanding and care of motor neuron diseases.
